Chapter 2: Fractions

Have you ever shared a roti with a friend? Or split a chocolate bar three ways with cousins? Every time we share something equally, fractions are quietly at work. A fraction is just a number that names a part of a whole.

In this chapter we go deeper into fractions. We meet halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and more. We learn when two different-looking fractions are actually equal, how to put fractions in order, and how to add them. By the end, fractions will feel as friendly as whole numbers.
