▶Why does the answer show 30 days in one month and 28 in another?
The calculator counts real calendar days, not a flat 30-day month. So February gives 28 days, or 29 in a leap year, while July gives 31. This matches how government forms, passports and competitive exam boards calculate age, which is why the result may differ slightly from a simple subtraction.
▶Age in years versus completed years: what is the difference?
Completed years means how many full birthdays you have crossed; a person who is 17 years and 11 months is in their 18th year but has only 17 completed years. Indian forms usually ask for completed years. This tool shows both the full breakdown and the completed-years figure so you can pick the right number.
▶Does it handle birthdays on 29 February?
Yes. If your date of birth is 29 February, the calculator treats 1 March as the effective birthday in non-leap years for the day count, while still showing your true birthday. So a leap-day baby born in 2000 turns 26 in 2026 with the anniversary effectively on 28 February or 1 March, depending on convention.
